Doll Strollers are not just for girls any more

Friday, September 19th, 2008

No matter what your budget is, doll strollers have become the popular “thing” with many tiny tots. Kids are the greatest imitators and want to act like mommy and daddy and have their own stroller
to push around. Many celebrity’s children have been spotted pushing high-end strollers.

Today there are a variety of strollers available for your little one from the basic umbrella stroller, jogging stroller, prams and even travel systems so your child can take their baby on a variety of outings that mimic their own travel experiences.

Also, stroller pushers are not just girls. Many boys have been spotted pushing strollers too. Toddlers of both genders just can’t seem to resist the moving wheels and handlebars and are sure to attract other toddlers when out in public. Parents are not worrying about who’s pushing these strollers, they want to teach their children to be loving, caring, and gentle little people. These tiny tots can play house as much as they’d like now, but the reality is they are our future parents to their own real life children.

Make Room in your Garage with the Micralite Toro Newborn System!

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Do you sometimes feel like a stroller warehouse? I see this in many households (garages, actually) where the family is relatively active with their kids. Meaning, they like to travel with their young ones and infants, venture on family hikes on rougher terrain and go the beach not to mention the normal everyday trips to the mall or regular city walks. Oh, and lets not forget “travel systems” that fit infants’ carseats. Yikes! It’s no wonder they had to purchase so many different models.

Wouldn’t it be nice if they could find one stroller that “did it all” and was easy to fold & unfold AND that fit your infants’ carseat AND was lightweight and easy to maneuver AND could fold up compact enough to fit in your already-packed family vehicle?

Believe it or not, there is a stroller available NOW that can do all of this, and more. It’s the Micralite Toro Newborn Stroller:

The Micralite Toro Newborn System comes in a nice variety of colors from the bold “look-at-me” emerald green & orange to the more conservative, yet classy, black and sand. It has a nice European, posh look.

The Bassinet

The bassinet that comes with the Newborn System is well padded for your infant’s comfort and is a completely separate unit from the stroller. So, you can easily remove the bassinet from the stroller and use it for nighttime or napping. It includes two long straps so it’s easy to move and carry. If you have more than one young child, you can remove the bassinet and use the toddler seat for him or her. Since the Newborn system fits children from birth to 40 pounds, you will get the most out of your investment.

When the bassinet is attached to the stroller, it’s facing mom (or dad) and is positioned at a nice high level so that little to no bending is required which is a nice feature for new moms.

The Toddler Seat

The Micralite Toro toddler seat is hammock style. It is recommended for infants from about 5 months in age up to 40 pounds. Your infant should be able to hold his/her head up before using the toddler seat. The seat has 3 seat positions, one of which is the fully reclined position to make napping more comfortable.

As a Travel System

The adapter parts that come with the Toro newborn system fits both the bassinet as well as Maxi Cosi carseats (Cabrio and Mico). Additionally, you can purchase a separate carseat adapter that fits both the Graco SnugRide and SafeSeat carseats. The Grace adapter for the Toro can be purchased on our site for $44.95 ( www.SoupedUpStrollers.com - Graco adapter for the Toro).

Making it All-Terrain

Another optional accessory to the stroller is the Toro all terrain kit (ATK). If you’re looking to go off road, in the snow or on the beach, this is the accessory for you! The ATK is a set of 2 air-filled tires (and axel) that easily snaps onto the stroller and replaces the standard smaller front wheels. They are the same size as the rear wheels. The air-filled soft ties absorb bumps and makes the stroller more comfortable for the rider and easier to maneuver on rough terrain.

If you’re looking to make more room in your garage and consolidate your stroller needs, definitely take a look at the Toro Newborn System.

While it is considered one of the more pricey stroller models on the market today, it will eliminate the need to purchase and store more than one stroller.

Go Off-Road with the Micralite Toro ATK

Friday, September 5th, 2008

Calling all Micralite Toro-owning outdoor enthusiasts!  The Micralite ATK is now available!

The Toro all-terrain kit allows you to easily convert your Toro stroller into a rugged machine for use in places that was once reserved for only the most hardy jogger-type strollers.  Now you don’t need a separate stroller for your off-road walking & hiking adventures.

Hey, even Halle Berry owns one!

The ATK comes with 12-inch air-filled tires, front axel support and travel case. Here are the specifics:

  • Weight: 6 lbs (2.7 kg)
  • Dimensions: 27″ x 12″ x 3″

When fitted to the stroller, you will sacrifice the Toro’s one-handed fold and the ATK locks the front wheels straight so it impact maneuverability on the street. However,
the ATK is easily removable to fold the stroller: simply pop off the wheels, remove the support bar and replace the swivel wheels and your Toro is ready for the city streets
and urban travel once again. For more information on the Micralite Toro stroller or the Micralite ATK visit us at www.SoupedUpStrollers.com
