The Bassinet
The bassinet that comes with the Newborn System is well padded for your infant’s comfort and is a completely separate unit from the stroller. So, you can easily remove the bassinet from the stroller and use it for nighttime or napping. It includes two long straps so it’s easy to move and carry. If you have more than one young child, you can remove the bassinet and use the toddler seat for him or her. Since the Newborn system fits children from birth to 40 pounds, you will get the most out of your investment.
When the bassinet is attached to the stroller, it’s facing mom (or dad) and is positioned at a nice high level so that little to no bending is required which is a nice feature for new moms.
The Toddler Seat
The Micralite Toro toddler seat is hammock style. It is recommended for infants from about 5 months in age up to 40 pounds. Your infant should be able to hold his/her head up before using the toddler seat. The seat has 3 seat positions, one of which is the fully reclined position to make napping more comfortable.
As a Travel System
The adapter parts that come with the Toro newborn system fits both the bassinet as well as Maxi Cosi carseats (Cabrio and Mico). Additionally, you can purchase a separate carseat adapter that fits both the Graco SnugRide and SafeSeat carseats. Making it All-Terrain
Another optional accessory to the stroller is the Toro all terrain kit (ATK). If you’re looking to go off road, in the snow or on the beach, this is the accessory for you! The ATK is a set of 2 air-filled tires (and axel) that easily snaps onto the stroller and replaces the standard smaller front wheels. They are the same size as the rear wheels. The air-filled soft ties absorb bumps and makes the stroller more comfortable for the rider and easier to maneuver on rough terrain.
